Face Mask Friday: Montagne Jeunesse Prickly Pear Peal Off Face Mask Review

Hi lovelies,

Welcome to the second installment of my new blog mini series: 'Face Mask Friday!'

If you read last weeks first Face Mask Friday blog post, which you can read here, you will probably know that as part of my personal challenge to improve my current level of skincare, I have started to use a weekly face mask. This is still something of a novelty to me as I have not been using face masks at all for a long time (I know, tut, tut!). I'm really loving single use face mask sachets at the moment because they are relatively inexpensive to buy, perfect for a little extra skin pampering when you need it and you also get to try out a new one every week if you wish.

Okay, so onto this week's review.

Montagne Jeunesse Prickly Pear Peel Off Shockingly Juicy Skin Blast Face Mask Review

This is the second Montagne Jeunesse peel off mask that I have recently tried from their newer and more 'exotic' range of face masks. It smells absolutely divine. It's such a contrast using this bright and fruity face mask on a cold, grey and rainy day in Yorkshire. It made me feel like I should be laying out in the sun on a Caribbean Island somewhere...

Here's what this Montagne Jeunesse Prickly Pear Peel Off face mask has to say for itself on the back of the pack:

'Native to the Western Hemisphere, Prickly Pear helps protect skin from the earth's daily assaults whilst Mangosteen has powerful free radical scavengers (antioxidants) - How's that for a boost?'

Using this face mask is simple, all you do is cleanse your skin, apply the face mask, wait 15-20 minutes and then peel it off.

This Montagne Jeunesse Prickly Pear peel off face mask left my skin looking rejuvenated and feeling supple.

The sachet contains a generous quantity of product (10 ml or 0.3 fl oz). This is a generous quantity and once again this face mask could be shared between two people, especially as you don't necessarily need to apply a huge quantity to your face. It's a good idea to spread this out evenly across your face so that the mask dries all over at the same time. I'd also advise applying the mask to the center of your face, avoiding your hairline and eyebrows and any other areas where you have fine hairs. This is because as the mask dries, it can stick to these hairs and make the mask rather painful to peel off later. I also find that you may need to leave the face mask on for slightly longer than the suggested 15 - 20 minutes in order for it to thoroughly dry, especially if you apply the entire sachet. I find that leaving it on for a little longer also means that it is easier to peel off as it isn't at all tacky and it doesn't stick to your skin or fine hairs as much.

Well, that's it for this post! Next week, I will be trying and reviewing the Montagne Jeunesse Dragon Fruit Sauna face mask.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, please feel free to visit again soon.
